Care that protects the quality of life that remains.

At Silverado Hospice Dallas, hospice is not about giving up. It is about making the most of the time you have, in comfort and on your own terms. Our team focuses on the small things and the big things alike, from pain relief to the people and moments that give life meaning.

We serve patients and families across the Metroplex, and our care comes to you, whether that is a private home, an assisted living community or a nursing home. A nurse, an aide, a social worker, a chaplain and a volunteer all work as one team around each patient.

The Silverado Pledge

When you call, you get answers fast.

Choosing hospice should not mean waiting and wondering. Two promises hold us to that:

5-Day Leadership Call Guarantee

A member of our leadership team reaches out within five days of admission to make sure your family has everything you need.

7-Day Physician Visit Guarantee

A physician sees the patient within seven days of admission.

Our care

Specialized hospice programs, built around the diagnosis.

Different illnesses call for different care. Our clinical teams are trained in the conditions families face most, so the plan fits the patient, not the other way around.

Cardiac hospice

For advanced heart failure and end-stage cardiac disease. We manage symptoms like shortness of breath and fluid retention so patients can rest easier and stay comfortable at home.

Pulmonary hospice

For COPD, pulmonary fibrosis and other advanced lung conditions. Our team focuses on easing breathlessness and anxiety, with oxygen and medication managed around the clock.

Dementia and neurological hospice

For Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, ALS and related conditions. We draw on Silverado's decades in memory care to keep patients calm, dignified and surrounded by what they know.

Cancer hospice

For advanced and metastatic cancer. Our team focuses on pain and symptom relief, so patients stay comfortable and present with the people they love through every stage.

Why families choose Silverado

Why choose Silverado Hospice for someone you love?

Silverado began when our nurses saw an unmet need: end-of-life care that addresses the whole person, in mind, body and spirit. That idea has guided everything we do since 2004.

What we believe

We believe that understanding and honoring all aspects of a person, their needs, interests, beliefs and personality, is the only way to truly achieve the high level of care that families deserve.

Unmatched clinical excellence

Our clinical practices are second to none, with features such as a dedicated physician medical director and specialized teams experienced in specific diseases and conditions.

It all starts with compassion

From our philosophy of personalizing care for each patient, to our hiring and training, there is only one goal: to make the last days of life as comfortable and dignified as possible.

Frequently asked questions

Questions families often ask.

A short guide to what we hear most on first calls. If your question is not here, call (972) 409-9884 and we will talk it through.

How do I know if it is time for hospice?

Common signs include frequent hospital visits, a serious illness that is no longer responding to treatment, weight loss, increasing pain or simply needing more help with daily life than before.

You do not need to be certain. Call us and we will talk through what you are seeing, with no obligation.

Where is hospice care provided?

Wherever the patient calls home. That can be a private residence, an assisted living community, a memory care community or a skilled nursing facility. Our team comes to you.

Does choosing hospice mean giving up?

No. Hospice shifts the goal from curing an illness to living as fully and comfortably as possible. Many families tell us they wish they had called sooner.

What does hospice cost?

For eligible patients, hospice is fully covered by the Medicare Hospice Benefit, Medicaid and most private insurance, including medications, equipment and supplies related to the illness.

Our billing coordinator will walk through your specific coverage so there are no surprises.

How quickly can care begin?

Often the same day. We are on call 24 hours a day, and a nurse can begin an assessment within hours of your call. Call (972) 409-9884 any time.

Which areas do you serve?

Silverado Hospice Dallas serves Dallas, Garland, Irving, Plano, Addison, Richardson and the surrounding area. If you are nearby but not sure, call us, we will point you to the right team either way.
